T H E - R U L E S
Figuring out how things go down around The Forest of Death shouldn't be too hard. But still, make sure you read over and understand these rules before continuing on. They're quick, painless, and pretty self- explanatory, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM an admin or post in the Suggestions Board. We're so glad you've taken an interest in joining our site and appreciate you taking the time to read through these rules. All we can say now is welcome and have fun.

*getting started
When registering, make sure to first make your user account first using your alias/name, and then use a different account to make your characters.
Make sure to look over all of the information threads to see the different kinds of people that you're able to be before creating your character, and if you would like to add something to that list, you can suggest it to an admin. We do require an application to be filled out using a simple Application Template and then posted in the Pending Applications board before you can start posting. An admin will review your application, and if they feel that something needs to be improved/changed/elaborated on, you will be sent a PM. So be sure to log on and check your inbox. Once your character is approved, you are free to plot, make face claims, and post wherever you please.
* posting & activity
Since we here at the Forest of Death value quality writing over quantity, we require no word count. However, we still are an advanced roleplay, and we ask that when posting you can keep up with the other person you're threading with, or at least give them something to work with (meaning a single paragraph and especially one-liners are absolutely a no). Also, grammar and spelling are always taken into account, so make sure you always punctuate correctly (especially dialogue), capitalize properly, and use a spell-checker whenever writing. As far as activity goes, in an ideal world we would love for all of our members to be online and posting away every day, but we're also realistic, and realize that real life doesn't exactly always leave room for that. So, we ask that when you know you have something coming up and won't be online for more than a few days to a week that you post in the Absence Board. (The Code Words: Excluded Grace) We will have monthly activity checks, and those who fail to prove themselves still active by posting in the activity check, the absences thread, or by contacting an admin will have their character accounts moved to an inactive member group. Inactive members will have their accounts deleted after a month of inactivity.
* conduct & misc.
This site is PG-13! Because of Proboards' Terms, it is forbidden to roleplay things such as drugs, sex, and alcohol. We here at the Forest of Death knows that it happens, but please don't do so with detail. Just say something like "Locked themselves in their room," or something like that. So please, don't make us have to warn you. Three warnings, and then you are banned.
Now, as far as conduct goes, the biggest concept we want to stress is respect - namely towards the admins and other members. Hopefully everyone understands the importance of respect (peace, happiness, love, etc.), and that it must be given to everyone. We’re not going to go into major detail, but just remember that we take this very seriously. Just be friendly and remember that we're all just a big family here at the Forest of Death. We certainly hope that everyone's willing to be accepting of anyone who joins, as well as anyone who joins being accepting of existing members. Love one another! But we also understand that some people just clash, which is the way of life. So, no fighting in the c-box, just through pm's. If it becomes a problem, the staff will deal with it.
* graphics & sigs.
The maximum avatar size is 150x200 px, so that and anything below is acceptable. For signatures, we ask that you use nothing larger than 500 px in width, and are at least reasonable with the height (anything over 400 px may be a bit too much). No posting or linking to horribly offensive or adult pictures - sure, this is a mature roleplay, but we don't need anything too graphic on here. If you'd like to request some graphics, you can either head on over to resource sites like Caution, Red Carpet & Rebellion, and RPG-Directory, or to our GRAPHICS REQUESTS forum, where you can post a request, or post in someones graphics shop and wait for it to be filled!The maximum avatar size is 150x200 px, so that and anything below is acceptable.
